How cute is this minimum waste, maximum joy top?

Created from potential waste fabrics, this joyful tie-front blouse is a one-of-a-kind gem. The lightly puffed and gathered, gingham sleeves are made from a vintage tablecloth with a beautiful embroidered trim.

The blue cotton gingham is from a deconstructed pillowcase and the lovely lamb fabric is super rare, 1960's, Pat Albeck fabric. Patchwork is time-consuming which is why you won't find it within fast fashion. But patching fabrics enables small pieces to be saved not wasted. Wear what you believe in.

There was enough fabric to make a small top. Please visit the sizing page before you order to ensure this top is right for you. It shows how the garmnets are measured and how you can measure one of your own.

Measurements: Armpit to armpit: 19.5 inches. Shoulder to hem: 16 inches. Hemline: 20.5 inches. Best UK estimate is a size 8-10 depending on bust size.

My clothes are designed for comfort and my sizes vary to those sold on the high street. It's important to measure a garment you already own so you can make a comparison.

My garment measurements are taken with the garment laid flat on a table, measuring across the front only. The videos show you what I mean.

Take your garment, lay it on a flat, hard surface, and using a tape measure, make a note of your measurements from the following measuring zones:

(1) Armpit to Armpit. (2) Length from shoulder to hem. (3) Width across the bottom hemline and (4) Arm length. You don't necessarily need all four measurements but you will always need the Armpit to Armpit measurement.

Compare your measurements to those shown in the size charts below or the  measurements given within the product description.

With one-of-a-kind garments like the Patsy tops, the measurements will be shown within the product description.

Remember, if you are in-between sizes, size up to keep that comfy fit.

As a reference, in product images of me (Saundra), I’m wearing size M. I would best fit a UK 12-14 on the high street. I am about 5ft 4" tall and my bust size is DD cup.

Chelsie is also around 5ft 4" and is wearing size S. She would best fit a UK 8-10 and is D cup.

If you’re unsure, drop me a line and I can help you. I can also send you a paper tape measure too. Message me with your address.

Don’t forget, you can alter the length of your Bella dress and Pippa top. Just let me know if you need it a little longer or shorter. This is free unless there are  time consuming changes where there will be an additional charge.
